About the Festival

Plymouth History Festival is an annual celebration of Plymouth’s history and heritage and takes place across the city in a range of venues and locations. The 2018 festival runs from 5 May to 3 June and we look forward to welcoming you at one or more of the 100+ events on this year’s programme.

Celebrating Plymouth is always the central theme for the festival.

This year we’ll be exploring the themes of ‘War’, ‘Enlightenment’ and ‘Health’, marking important anniversaries linked to the Institution of Civil Engineers, the NHS and the RAF, and running a number of other events that focus on Plymouth’s amazing history and heritage.
